Thomas Roddy joined Atavistik Bio in July 2021. As Senior Vice President, Platform and IT, Tom leads the company’s technology and data platforms supporting the discovery and development of novel allosteric therapeutics.  Tom brings more than 20 years of experience across the drug discovery and development continuum, spanning early research, translational science, and post-marketing studies. Prior to joining Atavistik Bio, he served as Vice President of Metabolism and Proteomics at Agios Pharmaceuticals, where he also established and led the company’s External Innovation function to expand strategic collaborations.

Over the course of his career, Tom has held scientific leadership roles at Genzyme, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Merck, and Beryllium, where he built and led multidisciplinary teams across the drug discovery process. He has deep expertise in analytical and translational sciences and a strong track record of building and mentoring high-performing scientific teams.
Tom has authored approximately 80 scientific publications and has contributed to the development of multiple approved therapies, including FABRAZYME®, MYOZYME®, IDHIFA®, TIBSOVO®, VORANIGO®, AND PYRUKYND®, as well as other late-stage clinical programs in metabolic and cardiovascular disease.

He earned his PhD in Chemistry from The Pennsylvania State University, an MS in Chemistry from Villanova University, and a BS in Chemistry from Juniata College.
