Head of CMC
Padma Narayan joined Atavistik Bio as Vice President, Head of CMC in March 2026. She has over 25 years in the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries. At Atavistik Bio, Padma leads R&D and manufacturing activities for drug substance and drug product, as well as supply chain. Prior to joining Atavistik Bio, she was Vice President of CMC at Manistee Therapeutics and Head of Formulation Development at Sage Therapeutics and Tesaro (GSK). Padma has been integral in developing and commercializing important treatments for women’s health such as migraine, postpartum depression (ZURZUVAE®), and ovarian cancer (ZEJULA®). She has also held prior R&D leadership positions at The Dow Chemical Company, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer. At Dow, with her entrepreneurial spirit, she led the development of a sustainable agrochemical additives business from ground up. Padma is elected as an AIMBE Fellow, serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for Drexel University and is on the Editorial Advisory Board of The Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has been an active member of the Society of Women Engineers and American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Padma received her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Drexel University and her BS in Chemical Engineering at Villanova University.
